This study is being conducted as part of a doctorate at the Chair of Social Psychology: Media & Communication at the University of Duisburg-Essen and the WisPerMed research training group. The purpose of the study is to investigate how chess players deal with decision support systems. Taking part takes about 20 minutes.

Participation in the study is voluntary. You can quit participation in this study at any time and without giving reasons, and you will not suffer any disadvantages as a result. 
Important information on data processing/security: The legal basis for the processing of your personal data in studies is your voluntary written consent in accordance with the DS-GVO (Art. 6 para. 1 letter a). All data is stored anonymised and therefore does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about your person. Anonymised data may be made publicly accessible for the purpose of study replications. The data will be stored for at least 10 years after data analysis or at least 10 years after publication of a publication on this study.

To take part in the study, you must be at least 18 years old and play chess at least occasionally.

In the study, you will be confronted with various chess puzzles that you will try to solve. In addition, you will answer some short questionnaires and provide demographic data.
